Yulia Navalnaya and Vladimir Kara-Murza Meet with Finland's Prime Minister Following Meetings with Other Major World Leaders
Yulia Navalnaya and Vladimir Kara-Murza arrived in Finland at the invitation of the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Kimmo Kiljunen. They met with Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, President Alexander Stubb, and other politicians to discuss cooperation between Russian civil society and Europe.
“We will continue to support Russian civil society. The Russian people deserve freedom, human rights, and fair elections,” wrote Finland’s Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen.
Yulia Navalnaya continues her meetings with world leaders and politicians, advocating for support for the Russian people—those who stand against Putin, against the war, and against dictatorship.
On June 1, Yulia Navalnaya and Maria Pevchikh met with French President Emmanuel Macron.
We discussed how France can help civil society in Russia and in exile in its fight against Putin and his dictatorship. I’m grateful that President Macron understands that there are many people in Russia who oppose the war and need help and support.

On August 16, Navalnaya participated in a political festival in Arendal, Norway. There, she met with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre and the leaders of two Norwegian parties—Guri Melby (Liberal Party) and Erna Solberg (Conservative Party).
On August 23, in Berlin, Yulia Navalnaya met with the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
I found it important to thank them personally for their role in the release of Russian political prisoners. But most of our discussions were focused on practical ways to help those still held hostage by Putin.
