Russia has placed Mkrtych Okroyan, the chief designer of the Moscow-based “Soyuz” defense factory, under arrest in absentia. He is accused of large-scale fraud and money laundering.

One report revealed his business operations in Europe and his UK residency; another uncovered his €20 million villa on the Mediterranean coast. Okroyan even tried to sue our team after these revelations.

Okroyan and his relatives were personally interested in keeping the war going—it made them rich. He is already under sanctions from the U.S., the EU, the U.K., and other countries. Now he’s also wanted in Russia.
