Traitors YouTube Series

We explain who brought Putin to power, how and why. Maria Pevchikh narrates this series using a range of evidence, including documents, publications, photos, and videos from the Yeltsin administration and the Yeltsin 'Family' era. This is a large-scale project developed by a team of investigators, producers, designers, cameramen, editors, and other FBK staff.

We show in detail how a group of absolute traitors created Putin and his endless rule, dictatorship, and war.

What's our aim?

The series is based on one of Alexei Navalny’s last articles, 'My Fear and Loathing,' written while he was being held in the harshest prison conditions. Traitors shares Alexei’s views on this period of history and presents it to a broad audience. This controversial series has sparked a much needed discussion in in Russian society.  You can't build a bright future without analyzing the mistakes of the past and history's dark chapters.
