The RosYama project was launched to tackle one of Russia's major issues: poor road conditions. The service allowed users to report potholes by filling in a form on the website. The information was then forwarded to the Federal Road Safety Service (GIBDD), who were obliged to fix the reported problems within 12 days.
Achievements
RosYama quickly gained widespread recognition and became one of the largest civic projects in the country. Over 150,000 potholes were repaired across Russia. The concept was soon adopted abroad, with versions of RosYama appearing in Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Ukraine.
