Andreeva is Vladimir Putin’s favorite news anchor. She has hosted the program Vremya on Channel One since the 1990s and has played an active role in state propaganda. Even during the war, she travels freely around the world, returning to Russia only to film the next installment of state TV lies.
She holds multiple citizenships in addition to her Russian passport—Montenegrin and Honduran. In Montenegro, she owns a luxury villa, while her daughter lives in Latvia, a NATO country. ACF demands that Andreeva face sanctions.
